Laser Tattoo Removal Aftercare
Proper aftercare is essential to prevent infection, changes in skin texture, or other unwanted side effects. Tattoo removal activates your immune system to break down and eliminate ink particles, some reactions are normal and part of the healing process. Follow these instructions carefully to support your body’s natural healing and ensure the best possible results.

TATTOO REMOVAL AFTERCARE INSTRUCTIONS
1. Blistering
Blistering may develop within 8 hours post-treatment. This is a healthy immune response indicating that your body is healing and beginning to eliminate ink particles.
Do not pick or pop blisters. If blisters pop naturally, apply antibiotic ointment and cover with sterile gauze until healed.
To reduce the likelihood of blistering:
Let the area breathe for the first 6 hours post-treatment; avoid any topicals during this period.
Stay indoors in a clean, sterile environment - especially for large or dense tattoos.
If risk of contact or contamination exists, lightly cover the area with sterile, breathable gauze.
After 6 hours, continue covering with breathable gauze as needed to reduce friction and prevent contamination.
❌ Avoid plastic wrap, tape, or non-breathable covers once swelling subsides - they trap heat/moisture and may increase risk of blistering/infection.
2. Redness and Swelling
Redness, swelling, and tenderness are common and usually resolve within 3-5 days. These are normal signs of healing.
To support recovery:
Keep the area clean, protected, and moisturized using unscented products.
Let the area breathe in a clean environment immediately post-treatment.
Avoid heat exposure: no heating pads, heated car seats, hot showers, or direct sun.
Zensa Numbing Cream is recommended for use during the initial stage.
❌ Hand/Arm tattoos: Avoid lifting or excessive use for 24-48 hours.
❌ Leg/Foot tattoos: Limit walking or cardio for 1-3 days.
3. Itching, Scabbing, and Dryness
These symptoms are common due to dehydration and immune response.
Do not scratch or pick. Let scabs fall off naturally to prevent scarring or infection.
Hydrate the area consistently with unscented moisturizers.

Showering is safe after 6 hours, but avoid direct water pressure on the area.
Do NOT soak in baths, pools, or hot tubs for 2 weeks or until fully healed.
Avoid shaving the area until skin is completely healed.
No direct sun exposure for the first 2 weeks.
After 2 weeks, apply SPF 25+ to the area until your next treatment.UV Light Exposure:For hand tattoos if you are using UV nail lamps, ensure your tattoo is completely covered (e.g., with a bandage) for the first 2 weeks.
